MS: Manager Assistant

This add-on separates internal manager data from the customer-facing storefront: it hides selected filters, an internal product tab, and warehouse-related details from regular buyers. Managers and administrators still keep full access to operational information.

How it works

The add-on uses CS-Cart hooks to filter storefront data and extend product and warehouse behavior. During installation it creates required privileges and adds a dedicated visibility flag for store locations.

Where to manage

  • Add-on settings: “Administration → Add-ons → MS: Manager Assistant”.
  • Warehouse settings: “Administration → Warehouses”.
  • Product page: “Manager” tab for users with proper permissions.

MS: Manager Assistant Guide

1. Installation

  1. Install and enable the add-on in “Administration → Add-ons”.
  2. Make sure administrators can manage user group privileges.

2. Basic setup

  1. Open add-on settings for “MS: Manager Assistant”.
  2. Set the page for the manager tab (page_id).
  3. Optionally configure URL autofill field (field_id_auto).
  4. Select filters that must be hidden from regular users.

3. Access rights

  • Assign ms_hidden_tab privilege to groups that should access the manager tab.
  • Assign ms_hidden_filters privilege to groups that should see hidden filters.

4. Warehouse settings

  1. Go to “Administration → Warehouses”.
  2. Enable “Show for managers only” for required locations.

5. Validation

  • As a regular user: hidden filters and manager information are not displayed.
  • As manager/admin: “Manager” tab and hidden filters are available.
  • Verify manager-only warehouses are hidden from regular storefront users.

6. Troubleshooting

  • If the manager tab is missing, check page_id and group privileges.
  • If filters are still visible, check selected filters in add-on settings and user privileges.
