The Product Quality add-on helps show customers how well a product sells and how often it is returned for a defect reason. This increases trust in the product card and makes the choice more transparent.

Instructions for Product Quality

The Product Quality add-on shows sales and return statistics by defect reason directly in the product card. It helps customers evaluate the product faster and increases trust on the storefront.

What it does

  • shows the number of product sales;
  • displays the number of returns and the defect percentage;
  • counts returns by the selected RMA reason;
  • can display the data in a tab or in a separate block;
  • lets you enable or disable individual indicators;
  • shows a product summary based on orders and returns.

Where to find the add-on

The main settings are available on the Product quality add-on card in Add-ons → Manage add-ons.

A separate Product quality tab appears in the storefront product card, and the data can also be shown in a motivation block if the theme uses one.

The RMA add-on must be enabled for this add-on to work.

How to configure it

Display settings

  • Show tab — enables a separate tab with product quality data.
  • Show defect percentage — displays the percentage of returns by defect reason.
  • Show returns — displays the total number of returns.
  • Show sales — displays the number of product sales.
  • Show defect count — displays how many returns were made for the selected defect reason.
  • Defect reason — selects the specific RMA reason used to calculate defects.
  • Show in product card — shows the data in the storefront product card.
  • Show in motivation block — adds the data to the motivation block if your theme has it.

How it works

The add-on uses completed orders and RMA returns. Sales are calculated from purchased items, returns and defect percentage are calculated using the selected reason, and the total return count includes all product returns. When a customer opens the product card, they see a clear summary of sales and returns that helps them make a purchase decision.

How to check it works

  1. Make sure the RMA add-on is enabled and the defect reason type is set correctly in the add-on settings.
  2. Save the Product quality add-on settings.
  3. Create a completed order with a test product so sales statistics appear.
  4. Create an RMA return for that product and choose the defect reason configured in the settings.
  5. Open the product card on the storefront and check that sales, returns, and defect percentage are displayed.
  6. If the tab and motivation block are enabled, make sure they appear on the product page.
  7. If needed, open the product export area in the admin panel and check that the add-on generates a CSV file with statistics.
