Manager's assistant
The add-on hides selected filters, an additional product-information tab, and warehouse data from regular storefront users. Access to this data remains available only to administrators and user groups with the required privileges. The administrator controls visibility through add-on settings and store location settings.
MS: Manager Assistant Guide
1. Installation
- Install and enable the add-on in “Administration → Add-ons”.
- Make sure administrators can manage user group privileges.
2. Basic setup
- Open add-on settings for “MS: Manager Assistant”.
- Set the page for the manager tab (
page_id). - Optionally configure URL autofill field (
field_id_auto). - Select filters that must be hidden from regular users.
3. Access rights
- Assign
ms_hidden_tabprivilege to groups that should access the manager tab. - Assign
ms_hidden_filtersprivilege to groups that should see hidden filters.
4. Warehouse settings
- Go to “Administration → Warehouses”.
- Enable “Show for managers only” for required locations.
5. Validation
- As a regular user: hidden filters and manager information are not displayed.
- As manager/admin: “Manager” tab and hidden filters are available.
- Verify manager-only warehouses are hidden from regular storefront users.
6. Troubleshooting
- If the manager tab is missing, check
page_idand group privileges. - If filters are still visible, check selected filters in add-on settings and user privileges.
