Product recommendation block
The module adds new filling for the goods block. Allows to display the most popular goods from the same category. Can be configured for all goods, as well as only for goods not in stock. Less load on the database than standard modules.
Installation
The module is installed using standard CS-Cart tools via Add-ons → Manage add-ons.
Configuration
There are no module settings in the add-ons section. Filling selection is done through the block manager.
Working with the module
- Open Design → Layouts.
- Select the layout where you want to display the product block (e.g. product page).
- Find the product block and open its settings.
- In the fillings list, select MS: Product recommendations (
ms_block_goods). - Configure parameters: product limit (default 3), option "Display only when product is out of stock".
- Place the block on the product page.
Verification
- Open a product card on the storefront.
- Make sure the block displays products from the main category of the current product.
- Verify that the current product is not displayed in the block.
- With the "Display only when product is out of stock" option enabled — the block should be hidden if the product is in stock.
Update and removal
Update the module through standard CS-Cart mechanisms or the module's git repository. Removal — via Add-ons → Manage add-ons.
