Backstory
The company's website worked on an engine that was no longer supported and had already exhausted its technical capabilities. The main task was to move the store to CS-Cart with maintaining the design, SEO positions and transferring 45,000 of products.Project Features
A large number of goods
The old CMS did not allow to upload the goods in the desired structure. We wrote a parser to collect products and categories information correctly.
Catalog optimization
We divided 200 categories into 8 main sections. The layout of the main menu was improved, categories of the 2nd level were duplicated under the banners of the main page.
Simple checkout
We simplified standard logic of purchasing goods. When you click on the basket you can immediately proceed to checkout. At the same time new checkout also counts the minimum order of 20,000 roubles.

Old catalog parsing, structure optimization, improved menu
We wrote a parser to transfer information about products and categories. Using data from parser we collected complete information about the goods: URL, meta data, name, article number, categories, description, characteristics, photos, cost. We imported products with standard CS-Cart tools and created a catalog consisting of 45,000 products and more than 200 categories.
The excessive structure of the categories we divided into 8 main and 31 child sections. For this new structure we developed an improved menu for the desktop and mobile versions.

We reworked the logic of the cart in the site header and ordering. The content of the cart is not displayed in the header, click leads directly to the checkout.
The minimum purchase amount of 20,000 rubles is automatically taken into account on the checkout page. All changes are arranged in the add-on.
