Installation and Global Settings

The add-on is installed in the standard way.

Global settings

Hooks

After installing the add-on, you need to register hooks to display product quantities in the cart.

Information about the hooks can be found at: Downloaded add-ons → Fractional remainder → Settings → “Information” tab, which specifies the file where the changes should be made.

Please note that the most probable file location is specified; the final path to the file may differ depending on the installed add-ons and themes.

Basic Settings

The "Basic Settings" tab contains management for global settings and recycle bin settings.

Product is sold:

• Individually (by unit) - Select this parameter if you need all products to be sold by unit (piece) by default. All other settings will be inactive. You can then individually configure the bulk/package sales settings for specific products as needed.
• In packages (in bulk) - Activates the global settings for selling products in packages/bulk.

Consider product price as:

• Per unit - Uses the product price specified on the "General" tab in the product settings as the price for 1 unit of the product.
• Per package - Uses the product price specified on the "General" tab in the product settings as the price for 1 package of the product.

Number of units per package - Specifies the quantity of product in one package.

Options for displaying product quantity selection:

• Show quantity in units - Only the unit-based (piece) selection of the product is displayed.
• Show quantity in units and packages - Selection of the product by units (pieces) and by packages/quantity is displayed.

Display first in the product card:

• Price per unit
• Price per package

Method for changing product quantity:

• Quantity change step - When increasing the quantity of product to add, one unit of the product is added with each click.
• Units per package - When increasing the quantity of product to add, the value specified in the "Number of units per package" field is added in one click.

Display product unit of measurement - On the storefront, on pages related to checkout, instead of "packages".

Round values on the storefront - Round the quantity of the selected product unit/package when adding to the cart.

Cart Settings

Display mode for quantity on the cart icon:

• Number of line items
• Total number of units
• Do not display

Check stock quantity per unit - For products sold in packages.

Display

On the "Display" tab, you configure how the product add-to-cart function appears in various blocks and pages.

Local Settings

In the product settings, you can configure the add-on's behavior more precisely based on the specific product parameters.

Use global settings - By unchecking this box, you activate the local settings of the "Packages" add-on for this product.

The subsequent settings options mirror the global ones, with the exception of the last two.

Initial quantity displayed in product card - The quantity from this field will be shown in the product card when the page loads. If no quantity is specified, the value from the "Number of units per package" setting is displayed.

Round up package quantity - When a product is added to the cart by unit, the number of packages is rounded up.
