Random banners sort helps make a CS-Cart storefront more dynamic: banners inside a selected block can be shown to visitors in a shuffled order instead of always using the same sequence.
What it is for
The add-on is useful when one banner block contains several promotions, campaigns, collections, or advertising messages and you do not want the first banner to receive all attention. Random sorting makes impressions more balanced and helps you see which banners attract shoppers better.

How it works
After installation, a “Random order” option appears in the settings of a banner block. When this option is enabled for a specific block, the add-on shuffles the banner list when the data for that block is loaded. Other banner blocks keep their standard order.

What the add-on does
The add-on adds a “Random order” setting to banner blocks. When this setting is enabled, banners inside the selected block are displayed in a shuffled order.
The setting is applied per block. This lets you shuffle banners only where needed while keeping the standard order in other storefront areas.
Where to find the add-on
The main setting is located in the banner block settings in the CS-Cart layout manager.
- Open the layout management section in the admin panel.
- Find the page or container where the banner block is placed.
- Open the settings of the required “Banners” block.
- Find the “Random order” option in the block settings.
If the checkbox is disabled, the block works as usual and uses the standard banner order. If the checkbox is enabled, the banners in this block are shuffled.
How to enable random order for a block
- Open the settings of the required banner block.
- Enable the “Random order” option.
- Save the block settings.
- Check the storefront page where this block is displayed.
This is not a global setting: enable it separately for each banner block that should use random sorting.
How to check the result
- Prepare a block that contains several active banners.
- Enable the “Random order” option for this block.
- Open the storefront page with the block.
- Refresh the page several times or check it in a new browser window.
If the block contains several banners, their sequence should change. Blocks where the option is not enabled should keep the standard order.
Important notes
- The add-on depends on the standard CS-Cart banners add-on.
- Random order is useful only for blocks that contain more than one banner.
- For a reliable check, you may need to clear the store cache or refresh the page without the browser cache.
