The add-on helps customers compare prices from different vendors for the same product. It collects products into a separate compare list, shows vendor prices in one place, and lets the customer add the selected variant to the cart right away.

How it works
The customer adds a product to the compare list, and the add-on stores it in the session and, if the user is signed in, synchronizes the data with the user list. The comparison page shows vendor prices for shared products, and the customer can remove an item, clear the list, or add the selected product to the cart.

Instructions for Compare vendor prices
The add-on lets the customer collect several products into a vendor price comparison list, see offers from different vendors for the same product, and add the selected variant to the cart directly from the comparison page.
What the add-on does
- adds products to the vendor price comparison list;
- shows different vendor prices on one page;
- opens a comparison page for the selected products;
- lets the customer add a product from the needed vendor to the cart;
- keeps the comparison list in the session and synchronizes it for signed-in users;
- supports products with options and parent products with vendor offers.
Where the add-on is located
The settings are available in the add-on card in the CS-Cart admin panel, under General. On the storefront, the add-on adds a button on the product page, a comparison page, and an item in the user menu.
- Add-on card contains the settings for the add-to-compare button.
- Product page shows the button that adds an item to the comparison list.
- compare_prices.view shows the product list and vendor prices.
- User menu can show the item counter for the comparison list.
How to configure it
- Enable or disable the equalizer icon on the add-to-compare button.
- Choose whether the comparison control should look like a full button or a link.
- Set the button background color if you need a branded look.
After saving the settings, the storefront button updates automatically. If the add-on is used together with the store selection add-on, the comparison list will respect vendor filtering.
How it works
- The customer clicks the add-to-compare button on the product page.
- The product is saved into the comparison list.
- When the customer opens the comparison page, the add-on collects prices from different vendors for shared products.
- The customer can remove a product from the list, clear the list completely, or add the selected variant to the cart.
- If the user is signed in, the comparison list is synchronized between the session and the user data.
How to verify it works
- Open a product page and check that the comparison button is displayed.
- Add a product to the comparison list and make sure the list opens or updates.
- Add a product that is sold by several vendors and check the price table.
- Open the comparison page and test removing items and clearing the list.
- Add a product from a selected vendor to the cart and make sure the chosen variant is added.
- Check the comparison counter in the user menu if your theme uses it.
