The add-on helps collect an e-mail address after checkout, on the order completion page. If the customer did not leave an e-mail during checkout, a popup appears and lets them submit it for later customer work and data export from the admin panel.

How it works
After checkout, the add-on checks whether the customer e-mail is available. If the address is missing, a popup with an e-mail form appears on the Complete page. After submission, the address is saved and can be used later for export and data management.

Instructions for Collect e-mail on the Complete page
The add-on shows a popup on the order completion page when the customer has not left an e-mail address. The popup lets you collect the address for later customer work and data export from the admin panel.
What the add-on does
- shows a popup on the Complete page when the customer e-mail is missing;
- lets the customer leave an e-mail after checkout;
- saves the collected address in the add-on database for later export;
- lets you adjust the popup text and appearance from the admin panel.
Where the add-on is located
The add-on settings are available in the CS-Cart admin panel under Website, on the Collect e-mail at checkout page. This page contains the popup text and appearance settings.
- Add-on page contains the popup switch and the main texts used in the window.
- Export section is available under Administration → Export data and uses the email_from_checkout profile.
How to configure it
- Open the add-on page under Website.
- Enable the popup if you want to collect e-mail addresses after checkout.
- Fill in the popup title, main message, helper text, e-mail label, button text, and the input placeholder.
- If needed, adjust the popup appearance separately for the title, body text, and helper block: font size, color, and, for the title, font weight.
- Save the settings and check the popup on the order completion page.
How it works
- After checkout, the add-on checks whether the customer e-mail is available.

- The customer can enter an e-mail address and submit the form.
- After submission, the address is saved in the add-on database and becomes available for export.
How to verify it works
- Create a test order without a customer e-mail.
- Open the Complete page and make sure the popup appears.
- Enter an e-mail address and submit the form.
- Check that the address was saved and included in the email_from_checkout export.
- Repeat the test with an order that already has an e-mail and make sure the popup does not appear.
- Try submitting an e-mail that has already been saved and make sure the add-on shows a duplicate message.
