Instructions for E-mail for pickup point
The add-on sends a copy of the order e-mail to the pickup point address, lets you set a separate e-mail on the shipping method, and can hide shipping methods on checkout when the order total is below a set threshold.
What the add-on does
- sends a copy of the order e-mail to the address saved in the pickup point card;
- adds a separate e-mail field to the shipping method card for sending an order copy when checkout is completed;
- hides a shipping method on checkout when the order total is below its minimum threshold;
- can include shipping costs when checking the minimum order amount.
Where the add-on is located
The main settings are available in the add-on card in the CS-Cart admin panel. Additional fields used by the add-on are available in the pickup point card and the shipping method card.
- Add-on card contains the global option that affects the minimum order amount calculation.
- Pickup point card contains the e-mail address where the order copy is sent.
- Shipping method card contains the shipping e-mail field and the minimum order amount.
How to configure it
- Open the add-on card and, if needed, enable Include shipping costs in the minimum order amount. When it is enabled, the selected shipping rate is added to the product total during the minimum threshold check.
- Open the pickup point card and fill in the e-mail address. A copy of the order notification will be sent there when the order status is configured to notify the department.
- Open the shipping method card and fill in the e-mail on the add-on tab. A copy of the order e-mail will be sent to that address when the order is placed.
- If needed, set the shipping method minimum order amount. The method will not appear on checkout when the order total is below that value.
How to verify it works
- Create a test pickup order and check that the e-mail arrived at the pickup point address.
- Create a test order with a shipping method that has an e-mail set and check that the copy arrived at that address.
- Check a shipping method with a minimum order amount and make sure it is hidden on checkout when the order total is below the threshold.
- If shipping costs are included in the minimum amount, verify that the selected shipping rate is also taken into account.
What to know
The pickup point e-mail is used only when the address is filled in. The shipping method e-mail also must be valid. If a shipping method does not appear on checkout, first check its minimum amount and the order total with the rule enabled in the add-on settings.
